John of Pouilly was master in theology at the university of Paris, active in the first half of the 14 th century. His inception is thought to have taken place in 1306 in Paris, with his regency 1306-1307 His vesperies have not survived as such, but they have been recycled into his questiones ordinarie, which have thus preserved both vesperial questions. The first one, asking “whether God knows something other than himself,” is extant in Paris, BnF, Lat. 3228, ff. 105vb-111rb, and Paris, BnF, Lat. 15371, ff. 202va-215va (reworked for publication at 200ra- 202va).
