                    <note type="education">Bartholomew of Anciaco read the Sentences at the University of Paris in the academic year 1348-1349, according to two Assignationes bacccalareorum, one issued in 1347, which reads: “Assignamus ad legendum Sententias Parisius anno isto fr. Bonifacium de Picena, […] in anno sequenti fr. Bartholomeum de Ansiacho;” and one issued in 1348: “Ad legendum Sententias Parisius isto anno assignamus fr. Bartholomeum de Anisyaco.” If he followed the university course, as described by the official statutes, his inception in theology should have taken place around 1353. However, members of religious orders bypassed this rule quite frequently.</note>
