vesperae.author.educationYvo Lamederii lectured on the Sentences at Paris in the academic year 1380-1381, and, by means of a papal order issued in 1382, he was licenced to incept a year later, on the 7 th of January 1383, but not with full approval. The double religious order association is due to the fact that he started out as a Carmelite, but, upon receiving licence from Clement VII in November 1385, he transferred over to the Benedictines.en_US
vesperae.work.notesCaught in the crossfire between Jean Blanchard and Peter of Ailly in the famous Blanchard affair, his vesperies are used as evidence against Blanchard – Yvo promised him 100 francs for the licence, of which he only paid a part. Blanchard retaliated by interfering with his vesperies, and, when that did not work, by refusing to give him the bull attesting his degree. The text of his vesperies remains unknown.en_US
